Marketing Feedback Video Booth
Video Booth Brief
Marvel wanted a video booth to record fan feedback at the London Comic Con event. However unlike a normal video booth they wanted to monitor the feedback live in a separate room with the ability to change the questions the fans were answering on the fly. As our video booth is modular we were quickly able to make the changes for live monitoring and the questions were fed in using an remotely controlled auto-cue system.
The Video Booth
Our enclosed video booth is made of our own design and allows us to modify it for a variety of different needs, as well as featuring over a £1000 of pro film lighting it can also utilise a Canon 1Dx ii which allows us to record at 4k 30fps with live face tracking AF. Our video booth is made for broadcast quality so when our clients want the best quality this is what we provide. For audio we use a classic handheld interview microphone that is passed through an audio mixer. For this job we also made use of an auto-cue for relaying the questions to the user.
Video Booth workflow
Members of the Marvel team would approach fans who had come to visit Marvels large stand at Comic Con, they were then asked if they wanted to leave feedback via the video booth.
Once in the video booth the technician would explain the process to the fan and filming would begin. A live feed (video and audio) is sent to a member of the Marvels marketing team in another room, the staff member was able to feed the fan the appropriate questions to deliver the feedback they needed. At the end of the recording the fans had a chance to take their photo and take away a free print out with Marvel branding. This was an easy way to say thanks for taking part.
We operated the video booth just for the Saturday at Comic Con and had a long queue of people throughout the day. We recorded 78 feedback videos of varying lengths (there was no time limit on recordings so some people recorded for 5 minutes). The client was really happy.
